On July 10th, the Delco Special Olympics Foundation hosted a “Bag Drive” for a good cause. This is our fifth annual Bag Drive, and we were excited to see how it would turn out.
We started the day with a warm-up run and collected all the donations we could find. This included paper bags, boxes of tissues, and old clothes. Once the bag collection was completed, we had a great time doing some sports in the park. Afterward, we all went home to enjoy a great meal prepared by our families. The Bag Drive ended with us having collected 1,200 bags full of donations! The bags were then delivered to the Salvation Army and distributed to local children and needy families.
